Labrador Retriever dog are a popular breed of dog in North America. The name “Labrador” is derived from their use on fishing vessels near the Labrador Sea; they were known as “St John’s Dogs” because they worked mainly around St John’s (now Newfoundland) harbor. They have webbed toes that help them swim better than other types of dogs They’re the most popular type of pet for families with kids, and they make great pets because they’re calm and gentle around people. They’re also known as “Labbies” and come in three colors: black, yellow, and chocolate.

Labradors need regular exercise to stay healthy, but otherwise require few grooming or medical attention needs. However, Labrador Retrievers can be prone to hip dysplasia (a genetic condition), which is why it’s important to buy from reputable breeders who do health testing on their dogs before breeding them.

The Labrador Retriever is a popular breed of dog that was originally bred in Newfoundland, Canada. They are known for their friendly personalities, intelligence, and ability to retrieve objects. Labrador Retriever dog breed size and weight

The Labrador Retriever dog breed has a wide variety of colors but browns tend to be their favorite color. Labradors typically weigh between 55-80 pounds when they are fully grown which makes them medium-sized dogs. Labs can also grow up to 25 inches tall at its shoulder height which makes them one of the taller breeds on average according to AKC standards.

How do they look like?

Labrador Retrievers have a broad head and muzzle with a black nose. They have round ears that hang down until the animal is excited or interested in something. Their eyes are brown, medium-sized, and set close together. The tail of this breed is thick at the base and tapers towards the tip.

How to take care of a Labrador retriever dog?

Labrador needs a nutritious diet, regular exercise, grooming, preventive measure, monthly visits to the vet to maintain a high level of health. The lab has pointed teeth so just need to brush it twice a time a day. Brush the coat of lab as needed.

Labradors shed year-round, but their shedding does slow down during the winter months which makes grooming easier on owners who don’t want to deal with fur getting everywhere.

You should never leave your lab in the yard unsupervised because they can’t protect themselves from coyotes and other animals that may be lurking around your property

Natural Hunter

They have a natural instinct for swimming and retrieving items. Labradors are bred as hunting dogs and their natural abilities make them the perfect choice for this type of work. They are able to easily track prey like deer and hogs by tracking their scent and their intelligence means that they can be trained to follow commands quickly. However, they are also traditionally called “Bird Dogs” as they often help hunters when hunting ducks, quail etc.

Labrador have friendly nature

A Labrador Retriever is known for being gentle and kind with children, as well as other animals. In fact, many families choose to adopt Labs because of their sweet and easy-going dispositions. Labrador retrievers are for the most part healthy dogs, but they can have some allergies and weight problems. Lab puppies need proper care and time so when you decided to have a Labrador puppy as a pet then be ready to spend a quality of time with him. They need a good diet plan to maintain their health. Labrador retriever puppies also love to eat – their favorite foods include cheese, peanut butter, bacon bits, ice cream. You should feed a lab puppy twice a day and always provide fresh water to them. For the good health of lab puppy, you should take him to a long walk. Lab puppies have a different diet from adult dog.

At early age you need to trained the puppy to avoid the biting, if you are playing with your puppy, he bites you then immediately stop paying attention to him. After a while get realized not to do this again.

Although Labradors can come in many colors, black is not one of them – this color is called chocolate or liver.
